The USC School of Medicine Research Program for Medical Students  is an 8-week summer research opportunity for students who just completed their MS1 academic year.  Students earn a $2,500 stipend and spend time working alongside faculty mentors either in basic science or a clinical setting.

Getting involved in research as early as possible, with hands-on experience, enhances what students are learning in the classroom and makes them more appealing for residencie. Research is a valuable part of medical education, and the RPMS summer program enrolls between 15 and 25 students each year.
